This volume of LEM was prompted by an email from a listener named Jeremy who writes, “Dear Mr. B. I listen to LEM every week, the mixes of such different types of music is intriguing. I particularly enjoy the electronica style of music you select. I’ve heard you call this music by so many different names, Electro, Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Dub, Grime, Jungle, Ambient and so on, yet you always insist that genres do not matter. Well, I agree with that. I especially like the electronic-dubby-type music. Could you do a whole show of that style of music? And, if you don’t mind please dedicate the mix to my girlfriend, Shayna, she is at college in upstate NY and I try to go visit her as often as possible. I live in Brooklyn and listen to the podcasts of your show when I’m on the road. Thanks Mister B.”
An excellent idea, so here we have a nonstop mix, 60 minutes of splendid “electronic-dubby-type music” as described by Jeremy and dedicated to his girlfriend Shayna in upstate New York.
