It was talented writer, guitarist and producer, Barry Snaith who introduced me to Nata Boundariver, the creative force behind Meticulous Midgets. So, what is this oddly-named enterprise based in Moscow? I could go on at length with a flattering explanation, but instead I’ll hand that endeavor over to Nata,  “Meticulous Midgets is an art label that seeks to track modern ways of creative understanding of reality and accessible forms of its expression. The association includes a group of people, a website, a publishing house, a magazine, a music label, and Internet radio”. Another way to understand Meticulous Midgets is to head directly over to the website  and indulge. There’s such a lot there to take in. The magazine, the compilations, the radio show, everything is carefully crafted. Meticulous Midgets is the essential resource for “Avant-garde, lo-fi, ambient, wild music”, says Nata adding, “but we are open to all styles. This expands the field of perception. It’s like a sip of some special drink!” Recently, Nata asked if Life Elsewhere Music could air on their radio station. We promptly said, of course. Now LEM airs every Sunday on Meticulous Midgets Radio at 9 pm Moscow time.
